An exceptional vessel which trained many sailors! All amounts will finance EcoMaris’ youth programs, which create unique learning experiences as a way to introduce participants to the maritime industry.

Donate your boat!

By donating your boat, you contribute to the funding of EcoMaris’ youth programs. Should you decide make a donation, rest assured that the process will remain simple: we will take everything in charge. We will dispatch a professional appraiser who will assess the value of your boat, then provide you with a receipt reflecting the valuation.

By taking things in charge, we simplify your life: you won’t have to spend any more time and money on anchorage, dockage, transport or broker fees. Your sailboat will be sold by EcoMaris, with all proceeds going to the youth program.

People donate their boats for different reasons:

  • To support youth on a financial basis
  • To decrease tax payments
  • To avoid any problem arising from selling a boat
  • To avoid broker fees
  • To get rid of docking fees
  • To stop wasting time and money on repairs and maintenance
  • And most importantly, to help us change the lives of the hundreds of trainees who will sail with EcoMaris thanks to your donation

Which boats do we accept?

We must be able to carry your boat over land or by sea, and its value must largely exceed the cost of delivery. Sail or motor, big or small, wood or steel, fiberglass or ferrocement… we like them all! When it comes to smaller boats (like tenders), we would appreciate you delivering them yourself. However, we can organize large boat transport. If your boat is located in the United States or at a great distance, its value must be higher since additional costs are to be expected.

Please send us photos and a value estimate of your boat so that we can assess your offer.

What will we do with your boat?

Not all sailboats meet Transport Canada’s training vessel requirements. That is why some boats will be renovated at one of our shipyards, prior to being put up for sale. All profits will help finance the grants which we have put in place to make our expeditions accessible to as many participants as possible.

Please contact us for additional information or if you are interested in donating your boat. Once your offer has been assessed by our team, we will send an agreement to transfer ownership and schedule a meeting with you and your boat, should you still be interested in a donation.
