Heading for Mingan and the North Shore

Mingan

July 18 to 25, 2025: Sailing and adventure in the heart of the wild North Shore archipelagos: Set course for Mingan and the untamed North Shore coastline.

Where the St. Lawrence Estuary becomes a Gulf, white cliffs defy the winds and whales chart their course, a unique adventure awaits you. Forget everyday life and let yourself be carried away by the sea, the wind and the raw beauty of the North Shore and the Mingan Islands.

Aboard the EcoMaris sailboat, you'll discover traditional navigation along one of Quebec's most spectacular territories. From the jagged coastline of the Côte-Nord to the sculpted rock formations of Mingan, each day will be a new exploration, between long crossings, isolated anchorages and wilderness hikes.

A world apart, between cliffs, islands and oceans

On the Côte-Nord, the St. Lawrence takes on the appearance of an ocean. From Havre-Saint-Pierre and beyond, the coast crumbles into a multitude of islands, reefs and secret bays, a dream playground for sailors in search of exploration.

On the Côte-Nord, the St. Lawrence takes on an oceanic quality. From Havre-Saint-Pierre and beyond, the coast crumbles into a multitude of islands, reefs and secret bays, a dream playground for sailors in search of exploration.

What we'll explore:

  • The spectacular coastline of the Côte-Nord, with its hidden coves and wide, unspoiled beaches.
  • The islands of the Mingan Archipelago, guardians of thousand-year-old limestone monoliths and puffin colonies.
  • Secret bays accessible only by sailboat, where we'll be the only ones in the world to drop anchor.
  • The shallows and tides of the Gulf, a fascinating sailing terrain between currents and underwater relief.

Imagine sailing along the coast in search of rorquals, feeling the offshore wind carry the boat towards new horizons, disembarking on a deserted island where only the cry of seabirds breaks the silence...
