We’re sending out
a message in a bottle.

This November, EcoMaris appeals to your generosity.

Help us pursue our mission to help people steer around systemic barriers and other obstacles by teaching them to sail. We’re proud to introduce at-risk youth and marginalized adults to an ocean of potential.

Our mission

A vessel
for social good

We help steer at-risk youth and marginalized adults through life’s choppy waters. By introducing them to an ocean of potential.

Our programs harness the transformative power of the ocean to teach:

Marine science

Social science

Sailing

Self-confidence

Knowledge of self and others

Team work

Human skills

Job skills

Environmental conservation

Social consciousness

Healthy lifestyle habits

Steering our youth

Young adults

We help young adults in search of professional and personal purpose. Through our programs, hundreds of young people have found their “it” by going back to school, finding work or learning to take care of their mental and physical health.

Propelling women forward

Women entrepreneurs

There’s nothing better than the power of water to break the glass ceiling. EcoMaris supports women entrepreneurs by offering an inspiring, one-of-a-kind mentorship program.

Respecting the ocean

The environment

Our programs aim to increase universal access to the ocean, highlight the link between health, the river, the ocean and the climate, as well as encourage all communities to get more involved in environmental conservation.

Immersed in tradition

Indigenous communities

EcoMaris partners with First Nations communities to offer internships for indigenous youth. Our ship becomes a springboard for building motivation, confidence, leadership and indigenous solidarity as well as fostering a deep connection to the environment.

Audrey-Ann, Capstan participant

The Capstan program was a real highlight, not only in terms of the knowledge I acquired to learn to sail, but also in terms of the new friendships I made and the personal growth I experienced during my two weeks on the EcoMaris. I'm very grateful for it, and my passion for sailing is growing!

If it's a dream, especially for those who want to go on board this boat, go for it, really go for it. For me, it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life; I could never have that anywhere else.

Mathilde, group facilitator

I witnessed personal growth in ways that a traditional setting couldn’t have facilitated. Sailing together taught us about teamwork, resilience, and the beauty of stepping outside our comfort zones. It was a powerful reminder of the strength found in community and the profound impact of nature on our well-being.

Let your generosity overflow

Drop by drop, we’ll rise to our goal.

Thank you for supporting EcoMaris. Your donation helps keep our programs afloat and serving an ever-growing number of participants. And helping others benefits you too: you’ll enjoy a tax credit for your efforts.

Together, we can all access the transformative power of the ocean.

Our goal of $2 million will be used to :

continue our community aid operations.
Continue to offer our existing programs.
Launch a second boat to help even more people by June 2025.
